In-Store Pickup

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00. 

An email confirmation will be sent when your order is ready for collection.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Würth Zinc Phosphate Primer is a hydrocarbon-based, high-build primer formulated to protect steel structures from corrosion while delivering a smooth, low-sheen finish. It is designed as a general-purpose primer suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial, fabrication, and maintenance environments.

Fast Drying and Efficient

With a drying time of just 20 minutes to touch-dry and 1 hour to fully dry, the primer allows for faster handling and recoating compared to traditional primers. This makes it highly effective in workshop and on-site environments where time is critical.

High Coverage Performance

The product provides a coverage rate of approximately 5.3 m² per litre at 75 µm thickness, ensuring excellent material efficiency. Its strong build and adhesion help create an ideal base for finishing coats.

Versatile Application

The primer can be applied by hand, spray, or airless spray equipment, allowing for flexible use across different projects. For spray applications, up to 10% thinners may be added to achieve optimum atomisation and flow.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, grease, and contaminants.
  2. Stir thoroughly before use to achieve a consistent mix.
  3. Apply by brush, spray, or airless spray.
  4. For spray application, up to 10% thinner may be added to achieve optimal atomisation.
  5. Allow to dry: touch-dry in approx. 20 minutes, fully dry in 1 hour under standard conditions.
  6. Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with suitable thinners.

Usage Notes

  • Recommended processing temperature range: -3°C to 30°C.
  • Store in original, tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
  • Protect from frost, heat, and direct sunlight.
  • Do not use compressed gas to empty the container.
