Description
Advanced Anti-Corrosion Protection
Würth Wax Underseal is a solvent-containing, wax-based protective compound engineered to provide long-lasting corrosion resistance. Its unique formulation penetrates deeply into seams, gaps, and edges, forming a durable barrier that resists water, salt, and environmental influences. Once cured, the coating maintains a slightly sticky surface, which ensures ongoing flexibility and self-healing of minor abrasions.
Temperature Resistance and Versatility
With a service temperature range of -25°C to 180°C, this underseal performs reliably in both harsh cold climates and high-temperature environments. This makes it ideal for use in automotive, industrial, marine, and maintenance sectors. Unlike many coatings, it retains stability on metallic surfaces without flaking or becoming brittle over time.
Universal Application Areas
Designed for use wherever corrosion poses a threat, Würth Wax Underseal can be applied to vehicles, machines, machine parts, and structural metalwork. Common industries include:
- Automotive and bodywork construction - wheel arches, underbodies, seams, and panel joints.
- Bus and trailer construction - large-scale metal frameworks and exposed sections.
- Shipbuilding and marine maintenance - areas vulnerable to constant moisture and salt.
- Workshops and garages - protection of tools, machinery, and structural components.
- General industry - any metallic surfaces at risk of corrosion.
Important Application Notes
This product cannot be painted over once applied. For best results, apply to a clean, dry, and degreased surface. Shake thoroughly before use to ensure consistent wax distribution.
