Würth Ventilation Duct Sealant is a special polymer-based sealing compound designed for use in ventilation ductwork and air-handling systems. It provides a durable, odourless, and environmentally safe seal that prevents air leaks, enhances system efficiency, and ensures long-term resistance to mechanical stress and environmental exposure.

Odourless and User-Friendly Application

The solvent-free and odourless formulation ensures that the product can be safely used in indoor environments and occupied spaces without discomfort to users or surrounding personnel. This makes it particularly suitable for installation and maintenance work in commercial kitchens, offices, and industrial buildings.

Elastic, Durable, and Crack-Resistant

Once cured, the sealant remains elastic and permanently flexible, allowing it to absorb expansion and contraction movements caused by temperature fluctuations or vibration. This prevents cracking and maintains a consistent, airtight seal throughout the lifespan of the installation.

Environmentally Safe and Low-Emission

Würth Ventilation Duct Sealant meets the EMICODE EC1 plus classification for very low emissions, confirming compliance with the most stringent environmental and health standards. It contains no substances that impair paint wetting, making it suitable for subsequent painting or coating processes.

Reliable Performance Under Harsh Conditions

Engineered for long-term exposure, the sealant is ageing- and weather-resistant, maintaining adhesion and elasticity even under varying humidity and temperature conditions. Its non-corrosive, polymer-based formulation provides excellent surface compatibility and minimal shrinkage during curing.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure all application surfaces are load-bearing, clean, dry, and free from grease, rust, dust, and moisture.
  2. Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size and apply the sealant evenly along the joint.
  3. Smooth the surface with a spatula or suitable tool if required.
  4. Allow adequate ventilation during curing to ensure proper polymerisation.
  5. Note that increased layer thickness will extend the curing time.

Usage Notes

  • Processing temperature: 5°C to 40°C.
  • Skin formation time: approx. 30 minutes.
  • Full curing speed: approx. 3mm per day (depending on layer thickness and ambient conditions).
  • Ensure sufficient air exchange during curing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight between 5°C and 40°C.
  • Refer to the safety data sheet for more detailed application guidance.
