Description
Reinforced Filler for Demanding Repairs
Würth Vaku 70 Filler is a high-performance polyester-based filler with glass fibre reinforcement, designed for bridging larger cracks, holes, and structural imperfections. Its fibre composition provides strength and resilience while maintaining smooth application properties, making it a versatile choice for automotive and industrial repairs.
Outstanding Adhesion and Surface Stability
The filler exhibits excellent adhesion on a wide range of substrates, including iron, steel, aluminium, galvanized and hot-dip galvanized metals, as well as glass fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP). Thanks to its stable formulation, it can be applied reliably to vertical surfaces without sagging, delivering consistent repair quality.
Fast Curing for Efficiency
Vaku 70 cures rapidly, with a working life of 4–5 minutes at 20 °C and a drying time of 20–30 minutes. This fast-curing performance ensures efficient workflows, reducing downtime and enabling quicker progression to sanding, finishing, or overcoating.
Versatile Use in Automotive and Industrial Applications
- Automotive and Cargo: Ideal for levelling unevenness, cracks, and holes in vehicle construction and repairs. Particularly suitable for repairing attachments on trucks and passenger cars, as well as GFRP panels.
- Metal and Machinery: Used in steel and machine construction to restore larger damaged areas or cracks, providing a durable and long-lasting repair.
System Compatibility
When used as part of the VAKU repair system, Vaku 70 can be overcoated directly with Vaku 20, Vaku 30, or Vaku 40 fillers without intermediate sanding, streamlining the repair process.
VOC Compliance and Heat Resistance
Vaku 70 complies with the ChemVOC FarbV ordinance for solvent-based paints and lacquers, with a maximum permissible VOC content of 250 g/l. Its cured material withstands heat exposure up to 80 °C, ensuring reliable performance under typical operational stresses.
More Information
Application Instructions
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease.
- Sand the repair area thoroughly to provide a suitable key.
- Avoid wet sanding where possible, as polyester material is sensitive to water.
- Max filler and hardener at the correct dosing ratio (2% hardener content).
- Apply filler with the supplied plastic spatula to cracks, holes, or damaged areas.
- Allow curing 20-30 minutes at 20°C.
- Once hardened, sand the repair area before overcoating or finishing.
Usage Notes
- Always adhere to the correct mixing ratio of filler to hardener to prevent curing or performance issues.
- For optimum efficient, Vaku 70 can be directly coated with Vaku 20, Vaku 30, or Vaku 40 fillers without sanding between layers.
- Observe all safety and VOC compliance requirements when handling.
