Description

High-Performance Gap Filler

Würth UPVC Gap Filler and Sealant is a professional-grade formulation combining PVC resins, pigments, plasticisers, and solvents to provide strong, durable joints. Designed specifically for bonding and filling rigid and plasticised PVC, it creates maintenance-free seals of exceptional strength and stability.

Versatile Application

The product bonds not only to PVC and PVC-coated metal but also to brickwork and many porous substrates, making it ideal for repair and finishing tasks in construction, glazing, and maintenance. It is resistant to water and bacteria and stabilised against UV degradation, ensuring long-term reliability in external applications.

Fast Curing, Clean Finish

The filler cures rapidly, forming a colour-stable joint resistant to yellowing and weathering. During the curing process, some shrinkage will occur as solvents evaporate, which is normal and expected. For best results, excess material should be removed immediately after application.

Limitations

This product is not suitable for use on expanded or foil-wrapped PVC or PVC trim. It should not be smoothed using fingers or tools, as this can compromise curing and finish quality.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
  2. Cut away the sealed tip of the cartridge, or pierce the membrane if using a capped version.
  3. Attach the tapered applicator nozzle and trim to the desired size.
  4. Apply a continuous bead of filler into the joint or aperture.
  5. Leave the product to cure. Curing time will vary depending on the joint dimensions, temperature, and weather conditions, and may extend over several days.
  6. Do not attempt to smooth the bead with fingers or tools.
  7. Remove any excess immediately.
  8. After use, reseal the cartridge nozzle or replace the cap to prevent curing inside the tube.

Safety and Usage Notes

  • Expect some shrinkage during curing due to solvent evaporation.
  • Store product in a cool, dry environment.
  • Always avoid application on unsuitable PVC types (expanded or foil-wrapped).
