Würth Underseal is a solvent-containing, bitumen-based coating compound formulated to deliver long-lasting protection against corrosion, abrasion, and environmental wear. The compound forms a resilient black layer that shields vehicle underbodies and concealed areas from damage caused by road conditions, moisture, and salt.

Noise Reduction and Comfort

In addition to physical protection, the coating offers excellent anti-humming performance, effectively reducing vibration and road noise when applied to wheel wells, chassis components, and undercarriage panels. This dual benefit improves both protection and driving comfort.

Resistant to Environment Stress

The cured film exhibits high resistance to splash water, salt spray, weak acids, and bases, making it especially suitable for vehicles frequently exposed to wet, salty, or chemically aggressive environments.

Application Areas

This product is designed for external and concealed surfaces where recoating or painting is not required. Ideal for use on wheel arches, chassis frames, and underbody panels., it ensures long-term structural protection in areas that are otherwise difficult to maintain.

Professional Application

Optimised for use with Würth's underbody protection gun (Art. No, 0891110640), the coating can be applied at working pressures between 3-6 bar to achieve a uniform layer. Application by aerosol can also provides precise coverage with an optimal spraying distance of 20-30cm.

Application Instructions

  1. Shake the can thoroughly before use.
  2. Ensure the surface is dry and completely free from rust, grease, and dirt.
  3. Maintain a spraying distance of 20-30cm for consistent coverage.
  4. Apply thin coats, allowing sufficient drying time between layers if a thicker coating is required.
  5. Recommended working pressure when using a gun3-6 bar.
  6. After use, turn the aerosol can upside down and spray until the valve is empty to prevent clogging.
  7. Do not apply to joints, engines, gears, or brake systems.
  8. Product is not recoatable and cannot be painted over.
  9. Apply in well-ventilated areas, away from ignition sources.
  10. Store upright in a cool, dry place.
