Optimised Thinning for Primers
Würth Thinner for Primer is a naptha-based solvent system developed to adjust the viscosity of Würth primer products for brush, spray, or airless spray application. By reducing primer viscosity, it ensures smooth atomisation, even application, and optimum film formation.
Improved Coverage and Finish
When added in correct proportions, the thinner helps primers maintain their specified coverage rate of approx. 5.3m^2 per litre at 75 µm film thickness, preventing runs, orange peel, or uneven film build. This ensures a durable, low-sheen finish suitable for steel structures and fabricated components.
Practical Workshop Use
The thinner is clear, fast-evaporating, and fully compatible with Würth primer coatings. It is easy to incorporate during application preparation and is essential for achieving professional spray results in varying temperature and humidity conditions.
Storage and Stability
Supplied in a robust 5 L container, Würth Thinner for Primer has a shelf life of 12 months when stored correctly. Containers must be tightly sealed and kept in a dry, well-ventilated area at 15–30°C, away from frost, heat, and direct sunlight.
