Description

Accelerates Superglue Adhesive Bonding

Würth Superglue Activator for UPVC is a heptane-based solvent surface treatment designed to dramatically speed up the curing process of instant adhesives. It is especially effective when working with UPVC surfaces, as it eliminates the risk of yellowing or discolouration, a common issue with standard activators.

Improved Performance on Difficult Bonds

The activator is particularly useful when:

  • Bonding inactive materials that do not react easily with cyanoacrylates.
  • Working with large gaps, where standard superglue curing would be too slow.
  • Completing urgent tasks, as the activator reduces curing times to just seconds.

Controlled and Reliable Application

The activator can be applied by sponge, brush, dipping, or spraying, offering flexibility depending on the job. For best results, it must be applied to one surface, allowed to evaporate for at least 2 minutes, and then joined with the adhesive. Excess adhesive can also be cured post-application by spraying with activator, ensuring a neat and strong finish.

Safe and Non-Discolouring on UPVC

Unlike conventional activators, Würth’s formula is specifically developed for UPVC bonding applications, making it the ideal choice for window frames, doors, and other UPVC components, without the risk of staining or surface yellowing.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or dust.
  2. Apply to one surface only using a sponge, brush, dip, or spray.
  3. Allow the activator to evaporate completely (at least 2 minutes).
  4. Apply superglue to the untreated surface and join both parts immediately.
  5. For curing excess adhesive residue, spray directly over the cured joint.

Usage Notes

  • Use sparingly - excess activator may leave residue.
  • Ensure good ventilation during use.
  • Not suitable for diluting adhesives or use as a cleaner.

  • Highly flammable - keep away from heat, sparks, and flames.
  • Avoid inhalation of vapours - use in a well-ventilated area.
