Description

High-Performance Silicone Sealant

Würth Silicone Filler S is a one-component, neutral cure silicone elastomeric filler designed for a wide range of sealing applications in construction and building. Its low-modulus formula provides excellent flexibility and reliable movement absorption, making it suitable for both structural and finishing seals.

Outstanding Adhesion

This sealant adheres effectively to a variety of traditional construction materials, including glass, wood, PVC, steel, anodised or lacquered aluminium, and concrete. In many cases, no primer is required. For non-standard or sensitive substrates, preliminary adhesion testing is recommended.

Durable and Long-Lasting

Silicone Filler S retains permanent elasticity and demonstrates very good UV resistance, ensuring long-term performance even under challenging environmental conditions. It offers excellent elastic recovery, making it particularly effective for expansion joints, compromise joints, and glazing seals where flexibility is essential.

User-Friendly Application

The filler is highly workable, extruding easily from manual, electric, or pneumatic guns and smoothing cleanly for a neat, professional finish. The neutral alkoxy curing system is odour-free, enhancing user comfort during application.

Standards Compliance

This product complies with DIN 18545-E and ISO 11600 F + G, class 25LM. It also carries the SNJF 25E certification for use in glazing and façade joints, ensuring quality and reliability to professional standards.

Limitations

Not suitable for natural stone, mirror bonding, permanent or prolonged water immersion, aquarium construction, or applications involving accidental food contact.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, or other contaminants.
  2. Insert the cartridge into a manual, electric, or pneumatic gun and cut the nozzle to the required bead size.
  3. Apply the filler evenly along the joint. The depth of the seal should be approximately half the width, with a minimum depth of 6mm.
  4. Smooth the sealant immediately before skin formation using a spatula and a suitable smoothing agent.
  5. Fresh, uncured silicone can be removed with an appropriate cleaning agent. Fully cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Safety and Usage Notes

  • Always carry out preliminary adhesion tests, especially on delicate or non-standard materials.
  • The sealant must be smoothed before skin formation occurs (approx. 15 minutes).
  • Store cartridges in a cool, dry, frost-free environment.
  • Do not use for natural stone, mirrors, or submerged applications.
