In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Würth Sealant Smoothing Agent is a universal, water-based finishing spray designed to create perfectly smooth, uniform sealant joints on all types of sealing materials. It ensures clean, flexible surfaces while accelerating the final curing process by promoting uniform surface cross-linking.

Professional Finish with Minimal Effort

When applied to freshly tooled joints, the smoothing agent prevents the sealant from sticking to the smoothing spatula or jointing tool. This allows for precise, consistent smoothing and significantly improves the final appearance and elasticity of the cured joint. The result is a flawless, glossy finish suitable for visible joints in construction, glazing, or vehicle bodywork.

Fast and Convenient Aerosol Application

Supplied in a 400 ml pressurised can or 5L bottle, Würth Sealant Smoothing Agent can be applied quickly and cleanly without the need for brushes or cloths. The angled spray design ensures full use of the product - hold the can at an angle to keep the riser tube submerged and allow complete discharge of contents.

Uniform Cross-Linking for Faster Curing

By ensuring even wetting and surface activation of the sealant, this agent supports consistent curing across the joint, preventing surface cracking or uneven hardness. It helps sealants cure faster and more uniformly, especially in low-humidity or cool environments.

Safe and Versatile Formula

Formulated with anionic surfactants, this smoothing agent is non-aggressive, neutral pH, and silicone-free, making it compatible with all Würth and standard sealants. However, care should be taken on sensitive or porous materials such as natural stone, unsealed metals, and frosted glass.

Application Instructions

  1. Apply the sealant evenly to the joint or seam.
  2. Spray Würth Sealant Smoothing Agent evenly over the uncured sealant surface.
  3. Alternatively, apply the agent with a damp cloth or sponge if required.
  4. Smooth the joint immediately using a suitable jointing tool or spatula.
  5. Wipe off any excess smoothing agent from adjacent surfaces shortly after application to prevent streaks or marks.

Usage Notes

  • Processing temperature: 0°C to 40°C.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with absorbent or uncoated steel surfaces to prevent corrosion.
  • On natural stone, rinse excess agent with clean water before drying to prevent staining.
  • Frosted or textured glass may develop slight clouding if residue remains.
  • Hold the can at an angle during spraying to ensure full discharge of the product.
  • Store in a cool, dry place; shelf life 18 months from production.
