Description
Durable Anti-Corrosion Protection
Würth Rust Stop Primer is a brush-applied, alkyd resin-based primer that provides outstanding protection for metal and steel surfaces exposed to demanding environments. Tested to DIN EN ISO 9227 (salt spray test), the coating demonstrates approx. 500 hours of corrosion resistance, fulfilling the requirements for corrosivity category C3 "high" under DIN EN ISO 12944.
Resistant to Water, Salt, and Chemicals
Formulated to withstand water, seawater, and many aggressive chemicals, the primer is suitable for use in industries where equipment and structures face tough operating conditions, including marine, construction, and agricultural sectors.
Fast, Practical Application
Designed for ease of use, the product can be applied directly by brush without specialist equipment. It dries quickly, allowing coated components to be handled, transported, or further processed in short timeframes. This makes it particularly effective as a transport primer in steel construction.
Recoatable and Compatible
Once dried, the primer can be painted over with standard topcoat systems, enabling integration into multi-layer coating processes. For best results, always refer to the technical data sheet for compatibility with specific finishing coats.
Professional Applications
Ideal for vehicle construction, shipbuilding, steel construction, tool manufacturing, bridge and tank construction, pipeline and container production, as well as agricultural and municipal machinery, this primer provides reliable and lasting protection in diverse sectors.
