High-Speed Plastic Bonding

Würth Replast ME 2C Plastic Adhesive 30 Sec is a two component polyurethane adhesive designed for rapid bonding and repair of plastic components. With a working life of just 30 seconds, it is ideal for applications where speed and efficiency are critical.

Versatile Applications

This adhesive bonds effectively to most common plastics and is widely used in the repair of spoilers, radiator grilles, aprons, bumpers, wheel arches, brackets, trim clips, and headlight mounts. Its NSF P1 certification makes it suitable for use in the food industry, and its EMICODE EC1+ classification guarantees compliance with stringent environmental and safety standards.

Efficient and Reliable Mixing

The innovative short positive mixer nozzle provides precise mixing of components while minimising adhesive wastage. This ensures consistent application quality, even when only small amounts are dispensed.

Durable and Resistant Bonding

The cured adhesive achieves a combined tension and shear resistance of 20 MPa, delivering a strong, rigid bond. It maintains integrity in demanding environments thanks to its excellent resistance to fuels, lubricants, and solvents, and its temperature stability between -40°C and 100°C.

Rapid Refinishing Capability

Replast ME 30 Sec cures exceptionally quickly, reaching a sandable state within 5 minutes at 23°C. This allows for minimal downtime between bonding and finishing, making it highly effective for time-sensitive repair work.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the substrate is load-bearing, clean, dry, and free from grease, rust, and old adhesive residues.
  2. Clean with an appropriate plastic cleaner and apply a plastic primer if necessary, observing the flash-off time.
  3. Before attaching the mixer nozzle, extrude and discard a small amount of adhesive.
  4. After fitting the nozzle, dispense adhesive and discard the first 2 cm to ensure correct mixing.
  5. Keep the nozzle immersed in the adhesive bead during application to avoid air bubbles.
  6. Apply within the processing temperature range of 15°C to 25°C.
  7. Working life is 30 seconds at 23°C / 50% relative humidity.
  8. The adhesive can be sanded after 5 minutes at 23°C.
  9. Full curing progresses at approx 0.5 mm/min under standard conditions.

Usage Notes:

  • Not suitable for PE, PP, or PTFE.
  • Adhesion may be affected by coatings or release agents present on some plastics. Check compatibility on an inconspicuous area before use.
  • Store at 23°C, away from direct sunlight.
  • Shelf life: 24 months from production when stored correctly.
