Description

High-Strength Polyurethane Adhesive

Würth PUR Wood Adhesive is a professional-grade moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive designed for reliable and durable structural bonding. With its D4 (EN 204) classification, it provides excellent water resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Versatile Application Areas

This adhesive is ideal for a wide range of woodworking and construction projects, including window, door, and stair construction, lamination of MDF and wood composites, furniture and garden furniture production, and bonding of insulation and sandwich panels. Its ability to adhere to ceramics, mineral bonding boards, concrete plastics, and insulation foams makes it highly versatile.

Fast and Reliable Curing

With a short open time of up to 5 minutes, the adhesive must be positioned and pressed quickly, making it well-suited for production environments and time-sensitive assembly work. Once applied, it achieves rapid curing under pressure, allowing bonded parts to be handled sooner.

Durability and Performance

Once cured, the adhesive offers excellent temperature resistance from -30°C to 100°C and strong long-term stability, even in harsh conditions. Its joint-filling capability ensures reliable results on both smooth and porous materials, providing consistent high bond strength across applications.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants.
  2. Always prepare a test panel when using new materials to confirm adhesive compatibility.
  3. Apply adhesive in a thin, even layer at a rate of 80*140 g/m^2, depending on the porosity and smoothness of the material.
  4. Assemble components and apply pressure within 5 minutes of adhesive application.
  5. Maintain a pressing pressure of 0.5-0.9 bar until the adhesive has cured sufficiently for handling.
  6. Allow the bond to fully cure before subjecting it to load or environmental exposure.

Safety and Usage Notes

  • Adhesive cures by moisture - ensure ambient humidity and material moisture content are within recommended ranges.
  • Store between 5°C and 25°C to maintain a 9-month shelf life.
  • Avoid skin and eye contact - wear gloves and protective eyewear.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area.
  • Fresh adhesive can be cleaned with appropriate PU cleaner, cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
