Description
High-Strength Bodywork Adhesive
Würth Powerbond is a two-component epoxy resin adhesive designed for demanding bodywork applications. Engineered for automotive structural bonding, it restores the original rigidity and stiffness of panels while reducing the need for excessive spot welding. Meeting the requirements of leading automotive manufacturers, this adhesive provides reliable, OEM-approved repair quality.
Glass Particle Technology
Thanks to its built-in glass particle reinforcement, Powerbond guarantees a consistent adhesive layer of at least 0.25 mm, even if excessive clamping force is applied. This ensures uniform bonding strength across the entire joint, improving long-term durability.
Excellent Stability
The adhesive’s thixotropic formulation prevents sagging or running, even on vertical surfaces. This allows precise application and clean results when bonding large body panels such as doors, fenders, and roof skins.
Corrosion Protection
Unlike traditional welding alone, Powerbond prevents corrosion at spot weld locations. The bond maintains the original level of rust resistance, protecting vulnerable areas from long-term degradation.
Versatile and User-Friendly
Once cured, the adhesive can be sanded, welded, and painted over for seamless refinishing. Its silicone- and VOC-free composition makes it safer to use in professional workshops without compromising performance.
Application Scope
Suitable for bonding steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and fibre-reinforced plastics (GFRP, CFRP). Ideal for bodywork repairs such as mudguards, side walls, wheel arches, roof panels, and door skins. Not suitable for load-bearing structural elements such as A-pillars or chassis beams.
Storage and Handling Notes
The cartridge must be stored in a frost-free environment. When using pneumatic or cordless dispensing guns, always select the lowest feed setting to prevent cartridge deformation.

Application Instructions
- Ensure substrates are load-bearing, clean, dry, and free of grease, rust, and loose debris.
- Remove any old adhesive or sealing residues.
- For best results, pre-clean with Würth Acetone Cleaner.
- Insert the double cartridge into a compatible application gun.
- Fit with a mixing nozzle to ensure correct component blending.
- Apply adhesive in a continuous bead to one of the bonding surfaces.
- Position the parts immediately after adhesive application.
- Apply firm but not excessive clamping pressure.
- Ensure a minimum adhesive layer thickness of 0.25mm (maintained by glass particle technology).
- Working time: approx. 60 minutes at 23°C.
- Initial curing: 4 hours.
- Full final strength: after 24 hours.
Safety and Usage Notes
- Do not use on load-bearing structural bodywork components (A-pillars, longitudinal beams, etc).
- Avoid bonding visible exterior surfaces to prevent shadow lines.
- Use protective gloves and eye protection during application.
- Store between 15°C and 25°C in a frost-free environment.
