The Würth Plastic Plane is a versatile hand tool developed for the application, shaping, and finishing of repair fillers. Suitable for use with 2-component repair filler RSM, hard wax, soft wax, and retouching wax, it enables precise repairs on a wide variety of wooden and coated surfaces.
Precision Design for Multiple Applications
The plane incorporates several specialised features to aid in the repair process:
- Front Edge: Optimised for pressing soft wax into defects and shaving off excess hard wax flush to the surface.
- Pointed Grooves: Ideal for planing wax from flat surface applications.
- Round Grooves: Specially shaped for planing filler along edges, ensuring a clean finish even on corners and joints.
- Bevelled Edge: Designed for removing loose particles after application, leaving a smooth repair zone.
Integrated Sanding and Polishing System
Each plane includes a multi-layer sanding and polishing cloth to complete the repair process:
- White Side: For degreasing and matting the damaged area before filling.
- Green Side: For polishing the repair area to a professional sheen once completed.
- Dark Fleece: For sanding and removing stubborn hard wax residues, achieving a smooth finish.
Durable Construction

Application Instructions
- Use the front edge of the plane to apply soft wax or remove excess hard wax from the repaired area.
- For surface wax applications, use the pointed grooves to shave wax flush with the surface.
- For edge repairs, use the round grooves to plane wax cleanly without damaging adjoining surfaces.
- To mix multiple colours, scrape small amounts of wax with the plane tip and press into the defect, working from light to dark shades.
- Remove any loose articles with the bevelled edge.
- Use the dark fleece to sand away final filler residues.
- Degrease or matt the area with the white cloth side, then polish the surface with the green cloth side for a smooth finish.
