High-Gloss Finishing Polish for Polycarbonate

Würth P90 PC High-Gloss Polish is a professional-grade finishing compound specifically formulated for polycarbonate surfaces. It is particularly effective in the final stages of headlight restoration, removing fine haze, micro-scratches, and dullness left by initial grinding or pre-polishing stages.

Vehicle headlights often suffer from heavy weathering caused by UV exposure, road debris, and environmental factors. P90 restores maximum transparency and gloss, ensuring not only aesthetic improvement but also restoring optimal light output for safer nighttime driving.

System Integration

This product is a replenishment component of the Würth Headlight Refurbishment Assortment (Art. No. 5964 089 316). It is applied after surface preparation with Polycarbonate Polish P80, completing the restoration process with a clear, bright finish.

Controlled Polishing Performance

Formulated with isoalkane as a chemical base, P90 provides effective defect removal while minimising surface stress. The polish maintains stable performance under machine application, ensuring that even sensitive polycarbonate lenses are finished without excessive heat build-up.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the headlight surface has been pre-polished with Würth Polycarbonate Polish P80.
  2. Clean the area to remove any residue before proceeding.
  3. Apply P90 High-Gloss Polish with a lambswool or orange polishing pad.
  4. Use a polishing machine at approx. 1200 rpm, working evenly across the surface.
  5. Avoid generating excessive heat during polishing.
  6. Once clarity and gloss are achieved, wipe away polish residue with a clean microfiber cloth.
  7. Inspect the headlight surface for uniformity.
