Description
Metal-Like Repair Performance
Würth Liquid Metal FE 1 is a solvent-free, epoxy-based 2-component repair compound formulated to deliver mechanical properties similar to metal. With its high compressive and tensile strength, it provides durable and permanent repairs to metallic and ceramic substrates.
Easy and Reliable Application
The system features an ideal 1:1 mixing ratio, requiring equal lengths of components A and B to be pressed out and mixed. This eliminates guesswork and virtually prevents incorrect mixing. Its pasty consistency ensures clean application with a spatula, without dripping or running – even on vertical or overhead surfaces.
Fast Curing with High Mechanical Strength
The compound offers a short working life of approx. 5 minutes and a gelation time of 7–12 minutes at room temperature, making it ideal for quick repairs. Depending on conditions, curing takes 4–24 hours, after which the material achieves strong mechanical properties:
- Compressive strength: ≥70 N/mm².
- Tensile strength: ≥12.5 N/mm².
- Shear resistance: ≥14.5 N/mm².
Once fully hardened, Liquid Metal FE 1 can be machined just like conventional metal.
Versatile Repair Applications
This product is particularly suited to filling moulds, sealing cracks, covering leaks, and repairing damaged components in both industrial and workshop environments. It adheres strongly to metals and ceramics, restoring functionality quickly and effectively.
Durability and Heat Resistance
With a thermal expansion coefficient of 0.0004 1/K, the cured compound resists deformation under temperature changes. It is stable from -60 °C to +120 °C, ensuring reliability in a wide range of operational environments.

Application Instructions
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease. For detailed pre-treatment, refer to the technical data sheet.
- Mix components A and B in a 1:1 ratio until a uniform grey colour is achieved.
- Apply the mixture immediately with a spatula. (Pot life approx. 5 minutes at 20 °C with 20g total mass).
- Allow the compound to gel in 7-12 minutes at room temperature.
- Curing time ranges from 4 to 24 hours depending on conditions.
- Once fully hardened, the material can be machined (lathed, milled, drilled, filed, tapped) as required.
Usage Notes
- Short pot life: prepare and apply only the amount that can be worked within 5 minutes.
- Always follow the enclosed application instructions.
- Store in original packaging at room temperature.
