Application Instructions

  1. De-energise all electrical components — Ensure all power is disconnected. Do not work on energised circuits.
  2. Prepare the work area — Ensure adequate ventilation for solvent fumes. Avoid open flames or ignition sources.
  3. Check plastic compatibility — Before application, verify that Contact OS is compatible with any plastic components present. Test on inconspicuous areas if uncertain.
  4. Shake the aerosol can well — Mix thoroughly to ensure uniform formulation before use.
  5. Use spray tube attachment — Attach the provided spray tube to the aerosol can for precise, controlled application.
  6. Apply lightly to contacts — Using the spray tube, apply a light coating to new electrical contacts, switches, or precision engine components. Light application is preferable to heavy coating.
  7. Cover surrounding areas — Ensure overspray doesn't contact components that shouldn't receive the spray.
  8. Allow solvent to evaporate completely — Let the spray dry thoroughly (typically 10–15 minutes). The protective layer forms as the solvent evaporates.
