Würth Klebfix Plastobond Superglue is a structural cyanoacrylate adhesive specifically formulated for bonding hard-to-glue plastics and challenging substrates. Its medium-viscous consistency provides excellent control, while ensuring sufficient penetration into close-fitting joints.

Strength Under Stress

Unlike standard cyanoacrylates, Klebfix Plastobond offers enhanced impact resistance and peel strength, making it suitable for applications subject to alternating loads, vibration, or fall testing. It is ideal for environments where flexibility and toughness are as important as fast bonding.

Durability in Demanding Environments

The adhesive exhibits superior resistance to temperature changes (-55°C to +105°C) and improved moisture resistance, ensuring long-lasting, reliable joints even in challenging indoor or outdoor conditions.

User-Friendly Application

Supplied in an ergonomically shaped bottle, Plastobond allows precise one-handed operation. The special cap prevents clogging, ensuring consistent dispensing and reduced wastage.

Blooming Effect Consideration

As with other cyanoacrylates, excessive application or insufficient ventilation may cause white deposits (blooming effect) around the bonding area. These can be removed with isopropanol or acetone if the substrate permits. To minimise blooming, apply adhesive sparingly, maintain adequate humidity, and ventilate the workspace.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure substrates are clean, dry, and free from grease or dust.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer of Klebfix Plastobond Superglue to one bonding surface only.
  3. Press the parts together immediately and hold firmly to achieve complete contact.
  4. Initial bonding occurs within seconds; allow time for full curing before applying heavy loads.

  • Gap coverage: up to 0.15mm.
  • Temperature resistance (cured): -55°C to 105°C.
