Description
High-Strength Retaining Compound for Bearings
Würth High Strength Bearing Retainer is a methacrylic acid ether-based anaerobic adhesive designed for securing cylindrical joining parts exposed to high mechanical and thermal loads. It ensures maximum retention strength by fully filling gaps and surface irregularities, creating a durable bond that resists loosening under extreme operating conditions.
Reliable Performance in Harsh Environments
This compound cures in the absence of oxygen and in contact with metal, achieving initial strength in just 5–10 minutes and full strength within 3–6 hours. It is highly resistant to chemicals, solvents, oils, fuels, and gases, and once cured, withstands operating temperatures between –55 °C and +150 °C.
Gap-Filling and Corrosion Protection
With a gap-filling capacity of up to 0.15 mm, the adhesive bridges surface roughness and dimensional tolerances, providing a uniform bond. It also protects against frictional corrosion, ensuring that bearings remain free-running and do not seize during service.
Wide-Ranging Applications
Designed for bushings, sleeves, ball bearings, sinter bronze, gears, bolts, shafts, and hub connections, the bearing retainer is widely used across industries including automotive, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, toolmaking, electrical and electronics, and food and beverage manufacturing.
DOS Dispensing System Efficiency
The patented Würth DOS system enables one-handed operation with continuously adjustable dispensing, no residue in the dispensing neck, and virtually complete emptying of the container. This ensures efficient usage with minimal waste and optimised costs.
