In-Store Pickup

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00. 

An email confirmation will be sent when your order is ready for collection.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Professional-Grade Clear Protection

Würth High Gloss Clear Varnish is a nitro-alkydal based clear lacquer designed to provide a protective, colourless coating. Its fast-drying formulation makes it highly efficient for touch-up and finishing work, delivering a brilliant high-gloss result in minimal time.

Versatile Applications

This clear varnish can be applied directly over untreated wood surfaces, making it ideal for furniture, components, and decorative finishes. It is also suitable for solvent- or water-based varnishes as well as sanded old varnishes, providing strong adhesion and consistent results.

Compatibility and Limitations

The lacquer is compatible with all acrylic and nitrocellulose paints, but is not suitable for synthetic resin varnishes or lacquers. For plastic surfaces, an adhesion promoter must be used beforehand, and due to variations in plastic types, a spray test is recommended prior to full application.

Practical Application

Packaged in an easy-to-use aerosol, the varnish applies evenly with a controlled spray pattern. After use, the can should be inverted and sprayed until the valve is clear to maintain functionality for future applications.

Application Instructions

  1. Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes from when the mixing ball becomes audible.
  2. Briefly spray into the air to clear residual particles from the tube and nozzle.
  3. Conduct a spray test on a sample surface.
  4. Hold the can at a spraying distance of 20-30 cm.
  5. Apply using a steady back-and-forth motion, coating the surface evenly.
  6. Allow the varnish to dry fully under ambient conditions.
  7. After use, invert the can and spray until the valve is empty.

Usage Notes

  • Not suitable for synthetic resin varnishes or lacquers.
  • Always use an adhesion promoter for varnishable plastics.
  • Perform a spray test on plastics before full application.
  • Store in original packaging between 15-25°C.
