Description

Durable Repair Solution for High-Stress Areas

The Würth Hard Filling Wax Assortment is specially engineered for repairing larger or deeper damaged areas on wood that are exposed to significant mechanical loads. Unlike soft wax fillers, this high-strength hard wax provides superior durability and abrasion resistance, making it the ideal choice for demanding applications such as tabletops, stair treads, parquet flooring, and edge areas.

Extensive Colour Range for Accurate Repairs

The assortment includes 20 different shades, offering broad coverage for a wide range of wood types and finishes. For precise results, the colours can be blended together, allowing for seamless adaptation to wood tones and grain patterns. This ensures a professional-quality repair that blends into the surrounding surface.

Enhanced Strength and Resistance

With a softening point of 76 °C (ISO 2207) and a dripping point of 81 °C (DIN 51801), the hard wax delivers excellent thermal stability under normal indoor conditions. Its abrasion-resistant properties ensure long-lasting performance even in areas subject to frequent or heavy use.

Cost-Effective Alternative to Replacement

Instead of replacing damaged furniture or flooring, the Hard Filling Wax Assortment provides a quick and reliable method of restoring surfaces. Application is straightforward using a heated gas melter, and finished areas can be sealed with clear varnish to ensure durability and protection.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Prepare the damaged area by cleaning away debris or loose material.
  2. Heat the tip of the gas melter (art. no. 0890 305 3).
  3. Apply the hard wax into the damaged area with the heated tip.
  4. Allow the wax to cool completely to achieve a solid fill.
  5. Remove excess material with the plastic plane (art. no. 0890 305 30).
  6. Trace the wood grain using suitable touching-up materials for a natural finish.
  7. Restore the pore pattern if necessary.
  8. Seal the repaired site with clear varnish (art. no. 0893 188 2 / 0893 188 3).

Usage Notes

  • Only suitable for indoor use.
  • Always follow the instructions supplied with the assortment pack.
  • Natural wood colour varies by species, origin, and surface treatment; perfect blending may require mixing multiple shades.
  • Designed for repairs exposed to major stresses - such as edges, flooring, and high-contact surfaces.
