In-Store Pickup

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00. 

An email confirmation will be sent when your order is ready for collection. 

Free Shipping

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Würth HaftClean Activating Surface Cleaner is a high-performance alcoholic solution with adhesion-promoting additives, developed for cleaning and activating non-porous substrates. By removing residues such as dust, grease, and contaminants, it optimises the bonding surface for adhesives and sealants.

Adhesion Enhancement

The cleaner not only degreases but also provides surface activation, ensuring significantly better adhesion performance when bonding metals, coated surfaces, glass, and plastics. This makes it an essential step in professional adhesive applications, particularly in construction, automotive, and industrial environments.

Safe and Reliable Formulation

The formulation is silicone-free and AOX-free, ensuring that no residues remain that could interfere with coating varnishes, or subsequent bonding processes. Its alcohol-based composition provides a fast, clean finish, ready for adhesive application.

Limitations

  • Not suitable for smoothing or removing adhesives/sealants.
  • Designed specifically for non-porous surfaces - not recommended for porous or absorbent materials.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of loose contamination.
  2. Spray a thin layer directly onto the surface and wipe with a clean cloth or absorbent paper.
  3. Always use a fresh section of cloth/paper for each wipe to avoid recontamination.
  4. Allow a flash-off time of at least 10 minutes (at 23°C, 50% relative humidity) before applying adhesive or sealant.

Usage Notes

  • Processing temperature range: 15°C to 25°C.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation when using the product.
  • Test on an inconspicuous area if applying to sensitive coated surfaces.

Safety Warnings

  • Highly flammable - keep away from open flames, sparks, and hot surfaces.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin; wear gloves and goggles during use.
  • Use only in well-ventilated areas.
  • Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
