Description

Reliable Protection Against Stone Chips and Corrosion

Würth Gravel Throw and Underbody Protection is a high-performance, solvent-containing, rubber-based coating compound designed to protect exposed vehicle areas from impact damage, stone chips, and corrosion. It forms a tough, flexible, and scratch-resistant protective layer, extending the service life of treated surfaces while maintaining excellent adhesion.

Paintability and Finishing Options

The coating is compatible with a wide range of solvent- and water-based 1K and 2K topcoat systems, making it easy to integrate into refinishing processes. Once cured, the surface can be sanded to a smooth finish for professional overpainting. It may also be briefly oven dried at 40–60 °C to speed up processing times. For an enhanced appearance, the applied coating can be stained with clear varnish, deepening the colour tone.

Versatile Application Areas

Designed for both repair and restoration work, this product recreates the original factory structure while providing long-term protection. Typical applications include:

  • Front and rear aprons.
  • Side members.
  • Bumpers.
  • Chassis components on cars, trucks, and buses.
  • Additionally, it is ideal as an anti-humming compound for wheel wells and chassis, reducing vibration and noise.

Professional Application Benefits

Application can be tailored to requirements – spray texture can be varied by adjusting the spray distance or pressure, allowing for different finishes.
