Description

High-Performance Acetate Sealant

Würth E4 Top Silicone Acetate is a professional-grade, acetate-curing silicone sealant designed for a wide range of construction and glazing applications. Its strong resistance to ageing, UV radiation, and harsh weather conditions makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor sealing tasks.

Versatile Application Range

This sealant is particularly well-suited for glazing and window sealing. It can be used to seal expansion joints on wooden, aluminium, and uPVC windows, as well as joints between glazing units and load-bearing components such as frames, beams, and posts. The coloured version offers additional compatibility with bitumen, extending its application versatility.

Durability and Flexibility

With a continuous motion absorption of 25% and a breaking elongation of 250%, the sealant maintains elasticity under dynamic joint stresses. Its Shore A hardness rating of 20 ensures flexibility while maintaining structural integrity of the joint.

Professional Quality Finish

The product applies smoothly and cures consistently. Minor discolouration may occur in some applications, and compatibility with coatings should always be tested in advance. It is particularly reliable for use in colder climates, where stability during curing is essential.

Important Notes

Preliminary adhesion and compatibility testing is required due to the wide variety of coatings and substrates in use. Slight discolouration is possible, especially in specific environmental conditions.
