Description

Restore Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency

Würth Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner is a water-based aminic cleaning solution specifically formulated to clear carbon and ash build-up inside diesel particulate filters. Over time, soot accumulation reduces filter efficiency, leading to restricted exhaust flow, loss of performance, increased fuel consumption, and potential limp mode activation.

On-Vehicle Cleaning - No Removal Required

This cleaner enables professional cleaning of the DPF without disassembly, saving time and costs compared to replacement or off-vehicle cleaning services. It is applied directly into the filter through an existing sensor opening, dissolving deposits and restoring the filter's absorption and regeneration capacity.

Safe, Efficient, and Residue-Free

The formulation is ash- and metal-free, ensuring that no additional residues are introduced to the filter during cleaning. Once applied, the solution evaporates completely, leaving the filter restored and ready for regeneration.

Application Instructions

  1. Remove the temperature or pressure sensor from the exhaust system upstream of the DPF.
  2. Insert the probe of the cleaner can into the opening.
  3. Spray the entire contents directly toward the particulate filter until the can is empty.
  4. Initiate DPF regeneration manually using a diagnostic tester, or perform a test drive to trigger automatic regeneration.
  5. Check the fault memory after regeneration.
  6. Clear any error codes if necessary.

Usage Notes

  • One 400ml can is sufficient for cleaning a single DPF.
  • Recommended for resolving performance loss or warning lights caused by clogged filters.
  • Always perform preliminary testing, especially in severely blocked or damaged filters.
