In-Store Pickup

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Professional MS Polymer Sealant for Automotive Repair and Seam Restoration

Würth Dichtfix Sealant is a high-performance, permanently elastic sealant formulated on an MS polymer (POP mixed polymer) base. It is specifically developed for automotive accident repair, enabling technicians to restore original OEM seam structures and textures on bodywork components.

Wide Adhesion Range Without Primer

The advanced formulation provides excellent adhesion to most painted and unpainted surfaces, including metal, glass, coated steel, and many plastics - without the need for a primer. It forms a strong bond while maintaining flexibility, ideal for sealing joints and seams exposed to vibration, torsion, or impact.

Durable and Mechanically Stable

With a Shore A hardness of 40 (black/grey) and 47 (white), Dichtfx offers an optimal balance between rigidity and elasticity. It resists mechanical stress and abrasion, making it ideal for use in engine compartments, wheel arches, underbodies, luggage compartments, and structural joints.

Excellent Elastic Recovery and Ageing Resistance

The sealant combines high tensile strength with outdstanding elongation at tear, ensuring long-term performance even under dynamic loads. Its UV-resistant and ageing-stable formulation prevents cracking, discolouration, or shrinkage over time - even when left unpainted.

User-Safe, Environmentally Conscious Formulation

Würth Dichtfix Sealant is free from isocyanates and silicones, making it environmentally compatible and safe for users. It emits minimal odour and can be painted over once cured, ensuring compatibility with most OEM and refinish coatings (a blocking primer must be used under metallic paints).

Ideal for OEM-Equivalent Seam Texture Reproduction

When used with a pneumatic gun, Dichtfix can reproduce various OEM-style seam textures, depending on the air pressure and nozzle distance. This allows precise duplication of factory appearance and protection levels during accident repair.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, or dust.
  2. Apply Dichtfix using a cartridge or pneumatic gun.
  3. Adjust nozzle distance and air pressure to replicate the desired seam texture and thickness.
  4. Allow the product to skin over for approximately 25 minutes before handling or painting.
  5. Full curing occurs at a rate of approximately 3 mm per day, depending on temperature and humidity.

Usage Notes:

  • Processing temperature: 5° to 30°C
  • Temperature resistance: -40°C to 80°C.
  • Shelf life: 15 months when stored between 5° and 25°C in a cool, dry environment.
  • Do not expose uncured sealant to standing water or solvents.
  • Does not adhere to PP, PE, or PTFE.
  • Avoid contact with fresh or uncured polyurethane materials.
  • Preliminary testing is recommended before overpainting due to variation in lacquer and glazing formulations.
