Description

Reliable Brake Fluid for Demanding Applications

Würth Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a high-quality hydraulic fluid engineered to meet the rigorous requirements of modern braking and clutch systems. Its superior formulation delivers excellent thermal stability and ensures reliable performance even under extreme braking conditions.

Excellent Temperature Resistance

  • Dry boiling point - 260°C.
  • Wet boiling point: 165°C.

This high resistance to heat build-up prevents vapour formation and brake fade, ensuring consistent braking power and maximum safety in both everyday and heavy-duty driving conditions.

Versatile Use

The fluid is suitable for a wide range of vehicles, including passenger cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. It is especially recommended where manufacturers specify the use of a non-petroleum-based hydraulic medium.

Important Limitations

Not suitable for vehicles with mineral oil-based systems (e.g. certain Citroen models). Always consult the vehicle manual if in doubt.

Application Instructions

  1. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's specifications for brake fluid use.
  2. Replace brake fluid every 2 years to maintain system safety and reliability.
  3. When topping up, ensure the reservoir and container are clean and tightly sealed to avoid contamination.
  4. Use only new brake fluid from the original sealed container.

Usage Notes

  • Contamination with dirt, water, petroleum products, or other substances can lead to brake failure or costly repairs.
  • Brake fluid is hygroscopic
(absorbs moisture); keep the container sealed when not in use.
  • Brake fluid damages paintwork - if spilled, rinse immediately with plenty of water
  • Dispose of used brake fluid responsibly (EU waste code 160113).
  • For Würth 5-L brake fluids: pierce the centre of the foil seal and screw on the tap. Do not attempt to remove the foil seal.
