Description

Cold Galvanising Protection

Würth Basic Zinc Protection is a zinc flake-based coating designed to provide long-lasting corrosion resistance to steel and galvanised parts. By forming a metallic barrier, the coating replicates the benefits of hot-dip galvanising in a convenient cold-application format.

Reliable Rust and Abrasion Resistance

The zinc-rich formula provides cathodic corrosion protection, meaning that even if the coating is scratched, exposed steel is still protected against rust. Its abrasion-resistant finish ensures durability, even in demanding environments.

Versatile Repair and Primer Use

This spray is ideal for repairing machining damage, rusty areas on galvanised components, and steel structures. In addition, it can be used as a high-quality primer beneath paint systems, offering an extra layer of defence in corrosion-prone environments.

Professional Application Benefits

Because it is spot-weldable, Würth Basic Zinc Protection is highly suited to industrial and automotive repair processes, ensuring corrosion protection without compromising fabrication workflows.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, grease, dust, or old coatings.
  2. Shake the can vigorously before use to ensure proper mixing.
  3. Spray evenly onto the prepared surface, maintaining an appropriate spraying distance (typically 20-30cm).
  4. Apply in thin coats and allow to dry between applications.
  5. Can be used directly on bare steel or as a primer under topcoats.

Usage Notes

  • Store in a dry place at room temperature (15-25°C).
  • Minimum shelf life: 2 years from production.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
