Description

Universal Adhesive and Sealant

Würth Adhesive and Sealant MS is a high-performance, elastic, one-component MS polymer-based adhesive and sealant designed for professional and industrial applications. It combines strength with flexibility, making it ideal for bonding and sealing in environments where vibration, movement, or thermal expansion occur.

Excellent Adhesion Across Multiple Surfaces

This advanced formula adheres securely to a wide variety of materials including plain, zinc-plated, primed, or painted steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, hard plastics such as ABS and PVC, concrete, wood, and glass. This makes it suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

Advanced Curing and Paintability

The product is moisture-curing, ensuring reliable performance under varying humidity conditions. It offers good levelling properties and, when freshly applied, can be painted over with most standard trade varnishes (testing is recommended before full application).

Safe and Durable Formula

The MS hybrid polymer formulation is solvent-free, isocyanate-free, and silicone-free, reducing risks associated with traditional sealants. It is also weatherproof, ensuring long-term durability in outdoor environments.

Industrial and Trade Applications

The sealant is particularly well-suited to the construction, automotive, shipbuilding, and mechanical engineering industries. It is ideal for tasks requiring elastic adhesive bonding such as bodywork, panel fixing, and structural sealing applications.

Limitations

Not suitable for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone-based materials, PTFE (Teflon), or soft plastics. Users should always perform a compatibility test prior to full application.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants.
  2. For optimal adhesion, apply a suitable primer thinly to the prepared surfaces and allow to evaporate completely. Always observe primer-specific drying times.
  3. Apply evenly using a cartridge gun.
  4. Tool and shape the sealant if necessary before skin formation occurs (within approx 10. minutes).
  5. If painting is required, apply over the sealant while it is freshly applied. Always conduct a compatibility test with the paint beforehand.

Usage Notes:

  • Most primers contain flammable solvents and are moisture-sensitive. Reseal primer containers immediately after use.
  • Primed or varnished surfaces should ideally be overcoated within 2 hours to prevent adhesion problems.
  • Processing temperature range 5°C to 40°C.
  • Once cured, the adhesive/sealant is resistant to temperatures between -40°C and 90°C.

Safety Warnings

  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Wear protective gloves during application.
