Description
High-Quality Neutral Silicone
Würth A9 BAS is a one-component, neutral-curing silicone sealant designed for reliable joint sealing in both interior and exterior applications. Its alkoxy-based curing system provides strong, elastic joints with long-term resistance to ageing, weathering, and UV exposure.
Versatile Application Scope
This sealant adheres effectively to a wide variety of construction and building materials without requiring a primer in most cases. Typical substrates include glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, clinker, and various metals such as aluminium, steel, zinc, and copper. It also bonds well to painted, glazed, or impregnated woods and many plastics.
Durability and Flexibility
Würth A9 BAS maintains elasticity after curing, absorbing up to 20% continuous joint movement. Its robust properties make it suitable for connecting, expansion, and sealing joints where flexibility and durability are essential.
Paint Compatibility
Once cured, the sealant is paint-compatible, allowing seamless integration into painted or finished surfaces. However, compatibility tests should always be performed to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
Professional Standard Performance
The product’s stable formulation ensures smooth extrusion and easy finishing with a professional appearance. Its neutral cure makes it odourless and user-friendly, while meeting construction requirements for indoor and outdoor use.

Application Instructions
- Ensure that the substrate is clean, dry, and load-bearing before application.
- Observe joint dimensions as per technical data sheet.
- Insert PE back-fill material into the joint where required.
- Treat porous substrates such as concrete with Würth Primer prior to application.
- Apply the sealant evenly using a manual, electric, or pneumatic gun.
- Smooth the sealant before skin formation using Würth Sealant Smoothing Agent.
Safety and Usage Notes
- Always perform preliminary adhesion and compatibility tests on the substrate.
- Sealant must be smoothed before skin forms (approx. 15-40 minutes depending on conditions).
- Store cartridges in a cool, dry, frost-free environments.
