Description

High-Performance Epoxy Primer Filler

Würth 2K Multi-Fill is a professional-grade 2-component epoxy resin-based primer filler designed for use on a wide range of automotive and industrial substrates. It delivers excellent adhesion, corrosion protection, and insulating action, making it a reliable solution for both spot repairs and full panel refinishing.

Versatile Substrate Compatibility

The product adheres exceptionally well to bare sheet steel, zinc-plated sheet steel, aluminium, anodised aluminium, UP fillers, old paint coatings, and GFRP materials. This broad compatibility ensures high application safety across various repair and production processes.

Durability and Application Safety

Multi-Fill provides long-lasting corrosion resistance and prevents substrate bleed-through thanks to its strong insulating properties. With a processing window of up to 4 days at 20°C, the mixed product remains usable for extended periods, offering flexibility in workshop operations.

Efficient Wet-on-Wet Process

Once applied and smoothed to a matt finish, Multi-Fill can be coated directly wet-on-wet without the need for intermediate sanding. This saves time and streamlines repair workflows, especially in high-volume environments.

Curing Options for Flexibility

The product offers multiple curing methods to suit workshop requirements:

  • Air drying: 24 hours at 20°C.
  • Infrared drying: 70 minutes at 60°C.
  • Oven drying: 30 minutes at 60°C.

Professional Use

As a 2K system, this product is intended for skilled professional use. It should not be applied over acid primers, and when used with PE spray filler, drying times must be strictly observed to ensure performance.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from grease.
  2. Sand problematic surfaces lightly to create a good key.
  3. Shake the can vigorously for 2 minutes before activation.
  4. Remove the red push button from the cap, attach it to the pin at the base of the can, and press firmly to activate the hardener.
  5. Dispose of the push button and shake the can vigorously again to mix thoroughly.
  6. Spray at a distance of 20-30cm applying 2-3 coats for a maximum film build of 70 µm.
  7. Allow 5–15 minutes flash-off time between coats.
  8. Can be painted over with all common topcoat systems once cured.

Usage Notes

  • Do not use in conjunction with acid primers.
  • Observe flash-off and drying times carefully when combined with PE spray fillers.
  • After use, invert the can and spray until the valve is empty to avoid clogging.
  • Apply in a well-ventilated area and only by trained professionals.
