Purpose-Built Aerobatic Design

The WL Toys XK A430 Edge is a compact yet extremely capable aerobatic RC aircraft, inspired by full-size Edge stunt planes used in competitive aerobatics. Its short wingspan, lightweight structure, and responsive control surfaces are engineered to deliver rapid roll rates, precise pitch control, and agile handling in all orientations.

Advanced 3D / 6G Autopilot Stabilisation System

At the core of the A430 is the advanced "3D6G" gyro stabilisation system, combining beginner-friendly assistance with full manual aerobatic control:

• 6G Mode uses a six-axis gyro to actively stabilise the aircraft, limiting extreme pitch and roll angles. This mode prevents over-control making it ideal for beginners learning coordinated turns, throttle control, and orientation.
• 3D Mode removes these limits and switches to a three-axis gyro, giving the pilot full authority over the aircraft. In this mode, the A430 can perform aggressive aerobatic manoeuvres including loops, rolls, stall turns, and continuous inverted flight.

Switching between modes allows the aircraft to grow with the pilot's skill level, making it suitable for a wide range of experience.

High Thrust Brushless Power System

The aircraft is powered by a 1406 brushless motor, delivering smooth, efficient power with instant throttle response. Paired with a 7.4V 300mAh 25C Li-Po battery, the A430 offers a strong power-to-weight ratio that supports vertical climbs, rapid acceleration, and sustained aerobatic flight. Typical flight times range from 8 to 10 minutes, depending on throttle usage.

Lightweight EPS Construction

Constructed from EPS foam, the airframe remains both light and resilient. With a flying weight of just 80g, the aircraft reacts instantly to control inputs while remaining forgiving during less-than-perfect landings. The lightweight structure also helps reduce inertia during manoeuvres, improving overall agility and control precision.

Five-Channel Control for Precision Flying

The 5-channel control layout provides fine control over throttle, elevator, rudder, and ailerons, with additional functionality for flight mode switching. A rudder movement setting on the transmitter allows pilots to limit control surface travel for training or unlock full deflection for advanced stunts.

Reliable 2.4 GHz Radio System

The included 2.4 GHz transmitter offers a strong, stable signal with a control range of up to 300 metres. Frequency-hopping technology allows multiple aircraft to be flown simultaneously without interference. The system is also compatible with Futaba S-FHSS, making it suitable for integration into existing radio setups if desired.

Ready-to-Fly Convenience

Supplied in RTF format, the A430 arrives fully assembled with motor, electronics, battery, and charger included. Only standard AA batteries are required for the transmitter, allowing pilots to be airborne within minutes.
