The WL Toys P-40 Warbird is a carefully scaled replica of the legendary WWII fighter aircraft, designed to deliver both visual authenticity and balanced flight performance. The model features a full fuselage camouflage colour scheme and proportionally scaled wings, tail surfaces, and nose profile, giving it a commanding presence in the air while maintaining predictable handling characteristics.

Advanced 6-Axis Flight Stabilisation System

At the core of this aircraft is a biult0-in six-axis gyroscope flight control system, which continuously monitors the aircraft's attitude and yaw. In 6G mode, the system actively stabilises the aircraft, making it exceptionally easy to control and ideal for beginners learning fixed-wing flight.

For pilots ready to advance, the stabilisation system can be switched to 3D mode directly from the transmitter, removing automatic corrections and enabling full manual control for rolls, loops, and more dynamic aerobatic manoeuvres.

True 4-Channel Flight Control

Unlike basic trainer models, this aircraft offers full four-channel control, closely replicating the control logic of real aircraft:

• Throttle channel controls motor speed and climb performance.
• Elevator channel controls pitch (up and down movement).
• Rudder channel controls yaw (left and right turning).
• Aileron channel provides roll control for banking turns.

This layout allows pilots to progressively develop real-world flying skills while still benefitting from electronic stabilisation when required.

Efficient Coreless Motor Power System

The aircraft is powered by a 1020 coreless motor, delivering smooth and consistent thrust while remaining lightweight and energy-efficient. This motor configuration provides excellent low-speed torque, making ground take-offs, hand launches, and gentle climbs easy and predictable. The motor is paired with a propeller blade protection system, designed so the propeller disengages from the shaft on nose impact, significantly reducing damage during rough landings.

High-Energy Lithium Polymer Battery

A 3.7V 400mAh lithium polymer battery supplies the aircraft with stable power output and long service life. The battery is environmentally friendly, containing no lead, mercury, cadmium, or other harmful heavy metals. Typical flight times reach up to 10 minutes per charge, with a recharge time of approximately 50 minutes using the included USB charger.

Durable EPP Foam Airframe

Constructed from EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, the airframe combines excellent shock absorption with low overall mass. The material is widely used in RC aviation due to its ability to flex under impact and recover shape, making it far more crash resistant than traditional foams. The finished aircraft weighs just 66g, contributing to gently stall characteristics and stable low-speed handling.

Reliable 2.4 GHz Radio Control System

The included 2.4 GHz transmitter offers strong anti-interference performance and a control range of up to 150 metres. Frequency-hopping technology allows multiple aircraft to be flown simulaneously in the same area without signal conflict, making it ideal for club flying or shared outdoor spaces.

Modular and Serviceable Design

The aircraft features a removable wing design, allowing for easy transport and storage. Motor replacement is straightforward, requiring only basic tools. The wing fixing screws can be removed to access the motor assembly, making maintenance and repairs simple even for less experienced users.
