Predator MQ-9 Scale Design

The WL Toys Predator MQ-9 RC Plane is a visually striking scale-inspired replica of the well-known unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Its long, high-aspect wings, slender fuselage, and rear-mounted twin push motors give it a unique silhouette that stands out from traditional RC aircraft. The design not only looks realistic but also contributes to excellent glide efficiency and stable cruising flight.

Twin Push-Motor High-Speed Performance

Power is provided by two 0720 hollow cup brushed motors, mounted in a rear push configuration. This layout keeps the propellers clear of the nose during take-offs and landings while delivering smooth, balanced thrust. The twin-motor setup enhances directional stability and provides ample power for fast passes, climbs, and energetic manoeuvres, making the aircraft exciting to fly without feeling unpredictable.

6-Axis Gyro Autopilot Stabilisation

High-speed aircraft can be challenging to control, but the built-in six-axis gyroscope flight stabilisation system continuously monitors pitch, roll, and yaw, applying automatic corrections to keep the aircraft level and responsive. This system significantly reduces the chance of over-correction and loss of control, allowing beginners to enjoy high-speed flying while still offering experienced pilots a stable platform for dynamic flight.

Lightweight, Crash-Resistant EPP Cosntruction

The airframe is manufactured from EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, a material chosen for its excellent impact absorption and flexibility. This makes the Predator MQ-9 highly resistant to damage from hard landings or minor crashes, while keeping the flying weight to just 67g. The low weight improves efficiency, handling, and overall flight stability.

Flexible Take-Off and Landing Options

The aircraft can be launched in multiple ways depending on available space.It is capable of ground take-off and landing from smooth surfaces for added realism, or it can be hand launched into the wind for quick deployment in open areas. These options make it suitable for a wide range of flying locations.

Reliable 2.4 GHz Radio System

The included 2.4 GHz transmitter offers a strong, stable control signal with a range of up to 200 metres. Frequency-hopping technology allows multiple aircraft to fly int he same area without interference. The transmitter is supplied in Mode 2 configuration (left-hand throttle), which is the most common and beginner friendly control layout.

The Predator MQ-9 arrives almost fully assembled, with only minimal setup required before flight. The box includes the aircraft, transmitter, 3.7V LiPo battery, USB charger, and manual, allowing pilots to get airborne within minutes.
