In-Store Pickup

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00. 

An email confirmation will be sent when your order is ready for collection.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.

Swissvax Opaque is a premium wax formulation designed to address the unique requirements of matter surfaces. Standard waxes often contain gloss enhancers or abrasives that can permanently damage the satin or matte finish by creating uneven shiny patches. This product is formulated without these agents, ensuring that the matte effect of the varnish or film is fully retained while providing a robust protective barrier against external factors.

Carnauba-Based Durability

By utilising a high concentration of 40% Grade One Carnauba wax, this preparation creates a resilient layer that typically lasts between 2 and 3 months. The high carnauba content ensures a natural hardness that shields the delicate matte texture from physical and chemical stressors encountered during regular vehicle operation. This organic barrier provides a sacrificial layer that absorbs the impact of environmental pollutants before they can reach the paint or foil.

Preservation of Surface Texture

A critical challenge with matte finishes is the risk of "polishing" the surface through friction or unsuitable chemicals. Swissvax Opaque is chemically neutral toward the underlying structure of matte paint and foils. It fills the microscopic pores of the surface without levelling the texture, which is essential for maintaining the intended non-glossy aesthetic. This ensures the vehicle retains its original factory finish without the development of unwanted sheen over time.

Resistance to Environmental Contaminants

The hydrophobic properties of this wax ensure that water stains and rain spots are significantly reduced. Furthermore, the wax layer prevents organic matter, such as insect residue and bird droppings, from etching into the paintwork or vinyl. It also acts as an oleophobic barrier against oily fingerprints and road grime, simplifying the maintenance and cleaning process and reducing the frequency of intensive washing.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated using a matte-specific pre-cleaner to remove old waxes or oils.
  2. Apply a small amount of Swissvax Opaque wax evenly to the surface using a foam applicator pad or the palms of the hands.
  3. Work on one panel at a time to ensure uniform coverage and to prevent the wax from drying excessively.
  4. Allow the wax to bond with the surface for approximately 5 to 10 minutes, depending on ambient temperature.
  5. Buff the residue gently using a clean, high-quality microfibre cloth, applying minimal pressure to avoid friction-induced gloss.
