Application Instructions

  1. Prepare the painted surface — Wash the vehicle thoroughly with a quality car shampoo and allow to dry completely. For optimal results, use Swissvax Cleaner Fluid to pre-treat the surface and remove any remaining contamination.
  2. Allow paint to cool — Ensure the paint is cool to the touch. Applying wax to warm paint causes excessive evaporation and poor adhesion.
  3. Work in shade — Apply Onyx in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight. Sunlight accelerates solvent evaporation and can cause uneven application.
  4. Apply in small sections — Work on manageable sections (approximately 2x2 feet) rather than attempting to wax the entire vehicle before buffing.
  5. Apply thinly by hand — Using a clean, soft cloth or applicator pad, apply Onyx in thin, even layers. Less product is better than excess — heavy application wastes product and makes buffing more difficult.
  6. Use circular motions — Work the wax onto the paint using gentle circular motions, ensuring even coverage across the section.
