Our stunning new Fire Engine is made from 100% recycled plastic. This reuses the materials which otherwise end up in our oceans or in landfills. Made from plastic bottles, bags DVD cases and other soft plastics. As well as being environmentally friendly it has the following benefits:

The Fire Engine is aimed at imaginative play for children, allowing children freedom to move around and through the vehicle creating their own stories either as a single group or in several separate groups. It can be supplied with a ramp for buggy or wheelchair access to the rear area, allowing inclusive play for all.

Available in red or green with a black frame it features 3 play areas. A front cab, with two steering wheels and a bench seat; a double cab with two more bench seats which face each other; and a rear stepped area with bench seats around the edge. All three areas are open so that adults as well as children can easily access the vehicle. We estimate that 18-20 could be seated in the vehicle comfortably at one time.

 

The floor area has groves helping to prevent children from slipping over when the equipment is wet, and seating can be quickly dried with a paper towel or cloth when it’s finished raining, leaving seats dry and safe.

 

While the vehicle is not intended as a climbing frame, we recognise that some children may not be able to resist, and as the top of the vehicle is 1.5m high we recommend that it should be placed on soft ground or a suitable playground surface in line with ROSPA guidance.

 

Unlike wooden equivalents it will not stain or rot and can be left outside over winter with no ill effects. It can be cleaned and restored to its as new condition with a simple wipe over or a hose down!

 The Fire Engine will be delivered partially assembled in easily to put together segments. It is delivered on 4 pallets, which will be very heavy. You should plan to have at least 4 preferably 6 fit and strong people available to move each segment into place.

This item has free delivery due to the size and weight. You will be notified of the date and time we expect it to arrive in advance.

 Please note all weights and measures are approximate because our products are handmade and hand finished each one may vary slightly.
