Plaskolite Fabback See-Thru Acrylic Mirror - also known as a two-way mirror - is engineered with a semi-transparent aluminium coating deposited onto an extruded acrylic substrate. This precision-applied reflective layer allows a proportion of light (typically 5%-20%) to pass through while reflecting the remainder, creating a controllable dual-purpose surface.

When the side of the sheet is brightly lit, it behaves like a standard mirror. On the opposite, darker side, the sheet appears transparent, enabling discreet observation, monitoring, and visual effects. This controllable reflectivity makes it ideal for surveillance installations, stage design, creative displays, and specialist lighting projects.

Lightweight, Shatter-Resistant, and Safer than Glass

Acrylic mirror offers significant safety advantages over traditional glass. It weights approximately 50% less and provides around five to ten times the impact resistance, depending on the grade. Unlike glass, acrylic is shatter-proof, making it suitable for environments where safety is paramount, such as schools, correctional institutions, children's areas, retail spaces, and animal enclosures.

Each sheet is protected by Plaskolite's Fabback tough backing, designed to resist damage, enhance longevity, and protect the reflective coating from wear and handling.
