This compound is engineered specifically for dual-action application, balancing cutting power against the gentler motion profile of orbital machines. The result is effective correction without the swirl or hologram formation common when using compounds designed for rotary machines on dual-action equipment.

High-Gloss Finish Without Polish Stage

Traditional correction workflows required compound for cutting, then polish for gloss enhancement. D300's formulation combines both functions—as abrasive particles progressively break down through working, they transition from cutting to polishing, delivering high-gloss appearance alongside defect removal. This efficiency eliminates the follow-up polish stage for many applications.

No-Swirl Formula for Quality Results

Application Instructions

Assess the paint defects. Inspect the vehicle to confirm light to moderate defects suitable for D300 correction rather than heavy cutting compound or multi-stage correction.

Prepare the paint surface. Wash and dry thoroughly, then mask off trim, glass, and sensitive areas to protect from overspray.

Install the appropriate cutting disc. Secure a compatible DA Microfibre Cutting Disc (DMC3, DMC5, DMC6) or Xtra Cutting Disc (DMX5, DMX6) onto the MT300 Dual-Action Polisher according to machine instructions.

Apply correction compound to the polishing disc. Dispense a small amount of D300 directly onto the microfibre cutting disc—avoid over-saturation.

Spread compound across a section. Using the polisher at low speed, distribute the compound evenly across approximately 2–3 square feet without applying downward pressure.

Increase speed and apply correction action. Once spread, increase the polisher speed to appropriate setting and apply light to moderate pressure to begin cutting defects.

Work until defects diminish. Continue the correction action until scratches, swirls, and holograms fade and the finish develops high gloss, indicating cutting action is complete.

Inspect the corrected surface. Wipe away compound residue with a clean cloth and inspect under bright light to assess defect removal and gloss quality.

Move to adjacent sections and repeat. Work systematically across the entire vehicle, maintaining consistent technique and pressure across all painted surfaces.

Proceed to finishing stage. Once correction is complete on all sections, apply Meguiar's DA Microfibre Finishing Wax (D301) to refine the surface and apply final high-gloss protection.

Allow curing time. Once finishing is complete, allow several hours before exposing the vehicle to water or harsh conditions.
