The Hot Rod electric monster truck uses an advanced bucket-style chassis designed to shield the internal electronics from dust, dirt, and debris. This enclosure-style configuration offers two clear benefits: improved reliability during off-road running and reduced chassis weight. Powerful RC540 Motor and Heat Management System

Equipped with a high-output RC540 brushed motor, the Hot Rod delivers impressive torque across all conditions. The motor is fitted with an anodised aluminium heat sink that disperses heat during extended runs, maintaining efficiency and preventing overheating. Power is managed by the HSP 03018 ESC, providing smooth proportional acceleration, braking, and reverse control for precise handling.

Eight Oil-Filled Shocks and Long-Travel Suspension

The suspension system features double oil-filled aluminium-capped shocks at each wheel, giving a total of eight heavy-duty dampers. Mounted via ball joints for added flexibility, this dual-shock arrangement maximises suspension travel, allowing the truck to tackle rocks, gravel, grass, and rough tracks with ease. Combined with large shock towers and tuned spring rates, the Hot Rod maintains stability and grip even at high speeds.

4WD Drivetrain with High-Torque Gear Ratio

Designed for serious off-road performance, the Hot Rod uses a 4WD driveline supported by an aluminium central drive shaft and front/rear bevel differentials. The drivetrain distributes torque evenly for improved climbing capability and cornering balance. The 1:10.3 gear ratio enhanced torque output, making the truck highly capable over uneven terrain and steep inclines while retaining fast, responsive acceleration.

Monster Truck Wheels and High Ground Clearance

The oversized 58x118mm monster tyres feature an anti-skid tread pattern that performs reliably on dirt, gravel, tarmac, and grass. Their size offers high stability and improved obstacle clearance. Coupled with the truck's 34mm of ground clearance, this setup allows the Hot Rod to operate confidently where smaller vehicles would struggle.

All-Weather Waterproof Electronics

The model includes a waterproof servo, ESC , and receiver, meaning puddles, wet grass, and damp trails pose no risk to the electronics. This ensures year-round usability and reduces maintenance requirements after wet runs.

Reliable 2.4 GHz Radio System

The truck is supplied with an HSP 2.4 GHz wheel-type transmitter, offering long-range control, fast response times, and automatic frequency hopping. This technology eliminates interference, allowing multiple users to operate in the same area with flawless signal stability.
