High-Output SH .18 Nitro Engine and Automatic 2-Speed Gearbox

At the heart of the Backwash is a premium SH .18 rear-exhaust nitro engine, manufactured in Taiwan and widely regarded for its excellent reliability, strong compression, and high power output.

This engine drives a fully automatic 2-speed gearbox, allowing the buggy to launch quickly in first gear before smoothly upshifting into second gear for significantly higher top end speed. The shift point is adjustable, enabling users to tune the acceleration profile depending on track layout or driving performance.

Durable Aluminium Chassis and Strengthened Driveline

The buggy is built around a solid 2.5mm thick anodised aluminium chassis equipped with countersunk screws for a flush underside. This prevents screw head snagging when driving over rocks or landing from jumps.

The 4WD transmission uses hardened metal drive gears, a hollow lightweight flywheel for faster engine response, and a slipper clutch system that protects the spur gear during sudden impacts or drivetrain shocks.

Chrome electroplated wheels fitted with all-terrain high-traction tyres ensure grip and durability on both off-road and on-road surfaces.

Advanced Suspension and Handling Package

The Backwash features full pivot ball suspension, delivering superior adjustability and durability compared to traditional C-hub assemblies.

Four assembled oil-filled aluminium shocks are mounted to aluminium shock towers, allowing riders to fine-tune preload and damping for different surfaces.

Adjustable steel turnbuckles enable precise modifications to camber and toe settings, while the wide track and tuned suspension geometry provide excellent cornering ability at high speeds.

4WD Shaft-Drive System for Maximum Traction

This model uses a super-efficient 4WD shaft-drive system with working front and rear differentials The result is stable power delivery, improved traction on loose terrain, and balanced handling during high-speed transitions.

Combined with its high-grip tyres and pivot ball suspension, the 4WD system ensures the buggy remains predictable and controllable even under aggressive driving conditions.

Fuel Tank, Braking, and Electronics Protection

The Backwash includes a 75cc fuel tank with integrated splash guard, delivering extended run times and reduced turbulence during fast manoeuvres.

A fibre disc brake provides strong stopping performance and heat resistance, allowing consistent braking even after prolonged use.

The electronics are safely enclosed within a sealed radio box, protecting the receiver from water spray, dirt, and dust. Both the servo and receiver are waterproof for added peace of mind in wet conditions.

2.4GHz Radio System

The included wheel-type 2.4GHz controller provides superior responsiveness, reduced interference, and longer range compared to traditional FM systems. Many vehicles can operate simultaneously without frequency conflicts, making it ideal for racing environments.
