Clean the fabric surface — For interior use, prepare surfaces with GTechniq I2 TriClean cleaner. For exterior surfaces like convertible roofs, use GTechniq W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner neat on heavily soiled areas, or dilute 5:1 with water for lightly soiled areas. Allow the cleaner to work and then rinse thoroughly.

Ensure thorough drying — Allow the cleaned surface to dry completely. For optimal results, allow 48 hours of good drying conditions before applying I1. The fabric moisture content must be below 15% (significantly dryer than touch-dry) for optimal impregnation of the protective coating.

Check environmental conditions — Apply I1 at temperatures of 5°C or above, in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. These conditions ensure proper curing and optimal coating formation.

Prepare for application — Shake I1 Smart Fabric well before use and wear gloves to protect your hands during application.

Apply with thorough saturation — Spray the product evenly from approximately 15 cm distance, ensuring complete saturation of the fabric surface. Coverage must be thorough and even — the nano-particles need to coat individual fibres uniformly.

Apply single coat only — I1 cannot be layered. Once the first coat has dried, it will repel additional product. Ensure your initial application is complete and thorough — you cannot add more product later.

Manage overspray immediately — If product accidentally sprays onto surrounding non-fabric surfaces, wipe immediately with a GTechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth. Also wipe any excess from the fabric surface to prevent uneven drying.

Allow 24 hours curing time — Leave the treated surface undisturbed for 24 hours. After this time, the protective coating reaches full effectiveness and the fabric can be used normally.

Test before full use — Allow 24 hours before subjecting treated fabric to moisture or use. This ensures the nano-coating has fully cured and will perform optimally.
