Application Instructions

  1. Prepare the work environment — Wear protective gloves and work in a well-ventilated area. Do not apply in direct sunlight, which accelerates solvent evaporation and can cause uneven curing.
  2. Clean the glass thoroughly — Use GTechniq G6 Perfect Glass cleaner to remove dirt, dust, and surface contaminants from the glass surface. This cleaning is essential for proper coating adhesion.
  3. Polish the glass — For maximum clarity and coating performance, polish the glass with GTechniq G4 Nanotech Glass Polish, working in circular motions across the entire surface.
  4. Final pre-application clean — Do a final clean with G6 Perfect Glass to remove any polish residue and prepare the surface for coating application.
  5. Apply G5 to the applicator — Apply a small amount of G5 Water Repellent Coating to either a GTechniq AP1 Applicator pad or an MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth.
  6. Apply in circular motions — Work the coating across the glass surface using circular motions, covering the entire windscreen or window evenly. Use light pressure to avoid excess product buildup.
  7. Allow initial curing — Let the coating cure for 10–15 minutes at room temperature. A hazy or dull appearance during this stage is normal and will clear as the coating fully cures.
  8. Remove residue carefully — Once curing is complete, use a GTechniq MF5 Glass Power Cloth or clean MF1 cloth to remove any residue from the coated surface. Work gently to ensure all residue is removed without disturbing the freshly cured coating.
