High-Output 30cc Petrol Engine

At the heart of the FS Racing 1/5 scale RC buggy is a powerful 30cc CY brand 2-cycle piston-valve engine, engineered for high torque delivery, fast throttle response, and sustained top-end power. The engine is air-cooled and recoil-start operated, ensuring reliable ignition in all conditions.

Unlike nitro models, it runs on standard unleaded 93# or 97# petrol mixed with 2-stroke oil, making refuelling quick, cost-effective, and convenient. The adjustable carburettor includes a choke and primer for simplified cold starts and precise tuning to suit temperature, altitude, and driving conditions.

Heavy-Duty Chassis and Structural Reinforcement

This buggy is built on an extra-strong 4mm titanium-alloy chassis, precision countersunk and engineered for high rigidity while minimising weight. Its central chassis layout places the engine, fuel tank, and battery pack along the centreline, lowering the centre of gravity and improving balance during high-speed cornering and jump landings. A robust anodised aluminium roll cage protects internal components from impacts, while the carbon-style ABS body shell provides additional structural reinforcement without excess weight.

Drivetrain and 4WD Upgrade Capability

Delivered in 2WD, the buggy offers fast acceleration, long drift arcs, and high-speed straight-line performance. However, the chassis and drivetrain are fully 4WD-ready, allowing users to easily install the conversion kit to unlock superior traction and control.

The drivetrain features heavy-duty sealed metal gears, a long-life automatic clutch with upgraded clutch spring, and an enclosed gear cover to protect components from dust, dirt, and debris during off-road racing.

Fuel System and Extended Runtime

The integrated 600ml high-capacity fuel tank provides exceptionally long run times - up to 1 hour depending on conditions. This extended runtime allows more driving and less downtime between refills. The fuel delivery system is engineered for consistent pressure, preventing fuel starvation during aggressive acceleration or uneven terrain.

Suspension , Handling, and Shocks

The buggy's suspension is built around a fully adjustable, heavy-duty oil-filled shock system. Each wheel is supported by a high-strength aluminium shock absorber, allowing fine-tuning of preload, damping, and ride height.

A double-wishbone suspension setup ensures optimal wheel articulation, stability, and ground contact over rough terrain. High-grip all-terrain tyres fitted to impact-resistant split-rim wheels provide strong traction on dirt, gravel, grass, and loose surfaces.

High-Torque Servos and Control Electronics

Steering performance is delivered by an extra hi-torque 30 kg/cm water-resistant steering servo, designed to handle the weight, speed, and power of a large-scale petrol model. A 6 kg/cm water-resistant throttle servo ensures accurate carburettor control and reliable braking response.

Electronics are housed within a sealed radio/electronics box to protect from water, mud, and dust. The included 2.4GHz radio system offers long-range, interference-free control and fast response times suitable for competitive off-road use.

Braking, Wheels, and Protection

The buggy uses a vented rear disc brake system for strong, fade-resistant stopping power. This improves control during high-speed approaches, sharp cornering, and emergency stops.
Reinforced impact-resistant wheels, high-grip tyres, and a large front bumper provide excellent durability. The metal air-filter intake cover ensures clean airflow into the engine, protecting it from debris.

Bodywork and Included Accessories

The supplied carbon fibre style ABS body shell is both lightweight and highly durable, featuring protective coating to resist impacts and scratches. The model ships in protective packaging to ensure safe arrival and includes a full toolkit, rechargeable receiver battery pack, charger, stickers, and detailed documentation.
