Application Instructions

  1. Attach to polisher backing plate — Secure the 135mm pad to the hook-and-loop backing plate of your dual-action or rotary polisher using the provided attachment system.
  2. Select appropriate compound — Choose a cutting compound formulated for the defects you're addressing. The pad works with most cutting compounds; match compound aggressiveness to defect severity.
  3. Prepare the paint surface — Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly. For best results on textured or contaminated paint, use a clay bar for decontamination.
  4. Apply compound to pad or surface — Apply cutting compound to either the pad or the paint surface. Start with a conservative amount — you can always add more.
  5. Spread the compound — Before polishing at speed, spread the compound evenly across the work area using slow circular motions or back-and-forth movements.
  6. Begin at low speed — Start the polisher at low speed (500–1000 rpm for dual-action, 1000–1200 rpm for rotary) to assess cutting action and ensure even product distribution.
  7. Increase to working speed — Once spread, increase to working speed (1500–2000 rpm for dual-action, 1500–2500 rpm for rotary, depending on paint hardness and defect severity).
