The G-Mop Angled Black represents this engineering evolution, delivering measurable improvements in three critical areas: handling (operator control and stability), swirl removal speed (faster defect elimination), and gloss depth (superior optical quality).

Hologram Elimination as Finishing Pad Purpose

After cutting and compounding stages, paint may show holograms — fine linear scratches created by the polishing process itself. These micro-scratches are nearly invisible in low light but become obvious under sunlight or spotlights. The finishing pad's role is to polish these away using fine finishing compounds. Farecla's angled black foam is engineered specifically for this purpose — cutting fine enough to remove holograms whilst using fine finishing compounds that enhance gloss rather than risk causing new damage.

Application Instructions

  1. Attach to appropriate backing plate — Secure the 150mm G-Mop Angled Black to the correct backing plate (GMB146, GMB586, or GMB166) on your polisher.
  2. Select rotary or dual-action polisher — The pad works with both types: rotary polishers (GPT002, GPT003, GPT050) or dual-action polishers (GPT202, GPT203, GPT250).
  3. Prepare the painted surface — Ensure cutting and compounding stages are complete. The surface should be ready for final finishing.
  4. Apply finishing compound sparingly — Use Farecla G360 Super Fast Finish or appropriate finishing compound. The angled black foam is engineered for fine finishing products — minimal product is required.
  5. Spread at low speed — Start the polisher at low speed to distribute finishing compound evenly across the work area.
  6. Increase to working speed — Increase polisher speed to optimal finishing speed (typically 1000–1500 rpm for dual-action, 800–1200 rpm for rotary).
  7. Work in systematic sections — Move methodically across the panel in overlapping sections to ensure complete coverage and even gloss development.
  8. Monitor hologram elimination — Observe under proper lighting for the gradual disappearance of holograms and swirl marks as you work.
