The Dynam Spitfire 1200mm RC Plane is a stunning scale reproduction of one of the most iconic fighters in aviation history. Developed after extensive design and flight testing, this model captures the unmistakable elliptical wing shape, sleek fuselage lines, and aggressive stance of the legendary Spitfire. The factory-applied paint scheme has been carefully selected to highlight the aircraft's shape and scale presence, making it equally impressive on the ground and in the air.

New-Generation 6-Axis Gyro Auto-Pilot System

This upgraded version is equipped with a Detrum MSR66A mini receiver featuring an integrated 6-axis MEMS gyro. The system constantly monitors pitch, roll, and yaw, automatically applying stabilisation corrections to maintain smooth, predictable flight.

Four selectable flight modes allow the aircraft to adapt to pilot skill level:

• Gyro Off - full manual control.
• Normal Mode - stabilised everyday flying.
• Aerobatic Mode - reduced assistance for dynamic manoeuvres.
• Auto-Recovery (Auto Balance) - instantly returns the aircraft to level flight.

This makes the Spitfire approachable for confident beginners while remaining highly rewarding for experienced pilots.

Upgraded Detrum GAVIN-6A Transmitter

Included is the Detrum GAVIN-6A 2.4GHz transmitter, utilising both DSSS and FHSS technology for excellent signal stability and anti-interference performance. High-resolution 4096-step control sticks provide smooth and precise inputs, while digital trims allow accurate setup. Additional features include low-battery alarm, one-button mode switching, and selectable Mode 1 / Mode 2 operation.

Electric Retracts and Functional Flaps

A standout feature of this model is the electronic worm-drive retractable landing gear, controlled via the dedicated 5th channel. Once airborne, retracting the landing gear dramatically enhances scale realism and reduces aerodynamic drag.

The aircraft is also fitted with two additional flap servos, allowing shorter take-off runs, slower landing approaches, and increased control during low-speed flight.

High-Performance Brushless Power System

The Spitfire is powered by a 850KV brushless outrunner motor, managed by a Dynam Pro 30A brushless ESC with switch-mode BEC. Paired with a 3-blade propeller and 11.1V 2200mAh 25C Li-Po battery, the system delivers strong acceleration, smooth throttle response, and impressive endurance, with flight times ranging from 10 to 18 minutes depending on throttle use.

Durable EPO Foam Construction

Constructed from high-quality EPO foam, the airframe offers an excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and light weight. This material absorbs impact energy more effectively than traditional foams, improving durability while maintaining realistic flight characteristics. The model is designed to cope well with regular flying from both grass and paved runways.

Excellent Ground Handling and Flight Behaviour

The Spitfire features a steerable tail wheel and large main wheels, providing confident ground handling and smooth taxiing. Take-offs are predictable with ample rudder authority, while landings are forgiving thanks to the aircraft’s ability to slow down without aggressive stall behaviour. Despite its scale appearance, the model is capable of stable slow flight, making it enjoyable for pilots learning warbird handling techniques.
