2. Prepare the painted surface — Ensure the vehicle is clean and dry. For wax or sealant application, the surface should be freshly washed and fully dried.
3. Apply product to the applicator — Place a small amount of product onto the durafoam core of the applicator. Less is more — over-saturation makes application messy and wastes product.
4. Work in small sections — Apply the product to manageable sections (2x2 feet) rather than attempting to cover entire panels, which can result in uneven application or product drying before buffing.
5. Use light to moderate pressure — The ultra-soft microfibre does the work — light pressure is sufficient and actually improves safety and consistency. Avoid heavy pressure which can cause excessive friction or potential scratching.
6. Apply in overlapping strokes — Work the applicator across the surface using overlapping, straight-line or circular motions to ensure even product distribution.
7. Maintain consistent coverage — Apply an even, thin layer across the entire section. Thicker application doesn't improve protection and wastes product.
8. Allow appropriate dwell time — Different products require different waiting periods before buffing. Follow the specific product manufacturer's recommendations for dwell time.
9. Buff away residue — Once dwell time is complete, use a clean microfibre cloth to buff away excess product, revealing a smooth, even protective layer.
10. Inspect for even application — Check the finished section under good lighting to confirm even application and consistent product coverage.
11. Repeat for remaining surfaces — Continue methodically across the entire vehicle, working in manageable sections until all desired surfaces are protected.
