1. Rinse the mitt before first use — Before the initial wash, rinse the mitt thoroughly under cool water to remove any manufacturing residue and activate the wool fibres.
2. Fill bucket with wash solution — Prepare two buckets: one with car shampoo and water (rinse bucket), one with clean water (rinse bucket). The clean water rinse bucket prevents cross-contamination of dirt back onto the vehicle.
3. Soak the mitt in wash solution — Submerge the mitt in the shampoo bucket, allowing the wool to fully absorb the wash solution.
4. Begin washing from top to bottom — Start at the roof and work systematically downward, washing the vehicle in sections. This prevents dirty water from dripping onto already-washed areas.
5. Use light pressure — The mitt's softness and absorbency do the cleaning work — light pressure is sufficient and actually reduces scratch risk by minimising friction.
6. Rinse the mitt frequently — Regularly rinse the mitt in the clean water bucket to remove accumulated dirt. This prevents dirt from being reapplied to the vehicle during subsequent washes.
7. Wring out excess water gently — After rinsing, gently wring the mitt to remove excess water, then re-soak in the shampoo bucket for the next section.
8. Complete the vehicle wash — Continue until the entire vehicle is washed, working systematically and maintaining the two-bucket method throughout.
9. Final rinse of the vehicle — Once washing is complete, rinse the entire vehicle thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap and contaminants.

Care Instructions

1. Rinse immediately after use — Rinse the mitt clean of all soap residue under cool running water.
2. Remove excess water — Use centripetal force (swing the mitt in a circular motion) to remove excess water efficiently.
3. Allow natural drying — Hang or lay the mitt flat to dry naturally in a shaded location. Avoid direct sunlight, which can degrade wool fibres.
4. Hand wash only — Do not machine wash the mitt. Hand wash using a dedicated wool detergent at maximum 40°C if necessary.
5. Regular brushing — Occasionally brush the wool gently to maintain softness and prevent tangling. Minor shedding is normal and does not indicate damage.
6. Storage — Store the mitt in a clean, dry location away from sunlight. Ensure it's completely dry before storage to prevent moisture-related issues.
